There are four tiers of funding available. Following on from your submission we may be in contact for further information or supporting documents.
*You may apply for all four tiers of funding.
May Racing Carnival Official Charity Partner
- The Charity, Club or Community Organisation receives all the proceeds collected from the patrons who donate a gold coin to use the buses to and from the racecourse.
- The Charity, Club or Community Organisation works closely with the WRC official bus partner.
- The Charity, Club or Community Organisation works closely with the WRC on initiatives to promote the partnership and link between the two organisations.
- Proudly supported by Beyond Bank who will double donations for awarded May Racing Carnival partner (DGR registration required)
Community Raceday
Partner
- The successful Charity, Club or Community Organisation will partner with the WRC for their Community Race Day meeting
- On this day the Charity, Club or Community Organisations and the WRC will work on ways to work together on fundraising initiatives. The net profits from the day, including admission and sponsorship raised from race names will be donated to the Charity, Club or Community Organisation.
Donation Requests
The WRC will be offering small financial grants of up to $1000 to support Charities, Clubs or Community Organisations in delivering on a project or initiative.
- Charities, Clubs or Community Organisations (“Charities”) must be located within 30kms of Warrnambool.
- Charities can choose to submit for funding in one or all levels of available funding.
- Submissions must include an initiative or project the funding would support and outline the impact the funding will have on the community as a result.
- Charities are eligible to submit multiple years for a donation, be that consecutive or over several years.
- Charities who have previously received Tier 1 or Tier 2 partnerships will not be eligible for the same tier partnership again. By way of example: if a charity has previously been awarded May Racing Carnival Charity Partner, they are only eligible for Community Race Day Partner, Tier 3, or Tier 4 donations in following years.
Where a charity has submitted in consecutive years:
- Charities will be eligible for a donation for two consecutive years at different levels of funding
- Charities that have been a recipient for two consecutive years at any level will not be eligible in the third consecutive year
Charities who have been awarded funding in previous years will be eligible to submit again following two years of absence from the program
- Charities who have applied over a number of years (not consecutive) will be eligible for a donation, however, at a different category than previously awarded
- Eligibility for donation (not partnership as per above) is reset after two years of absence from the program
Absolutely, we love to see previous recipients enter again. However, in order to distribute funds to as many groups as possible, Charities will be eligible for a donation for two consecutive years at different levels of funding.
Charities who have been awarded funding in previous years will be eligible to submit again following a two year absence from the program and at a different category than previously awarded.
Charities that have been a recipient for two consecutive years at any level will not be eligible in the third consecutive year.
Yes, you can, however you can only be the recipient in one category.
We have provided a 4 week timeline. Unfortunately, no extensions will be granted after 11:59pm on Monday 30th September.
Your submission must include an initiative or project that the funding would support how the funding will have an impact on the community as a result. We will reach out after the announcements to find out how your project is going.
The 2024 JUMP Morning Tea will be held at the Warrnambool Racing Club on Friday 15th November. All valid entries will receive an invitation to attend.
